Over the last couple of weeks.......

Here are just a few pics of what we have been up to the last couple of weeks.
Here is Kate giving her Valentine's present to Paul. He was in the other room and I asked him to come in the bedroom for a second. When he came in, this is what was waiting for him. It was so stinking cute. We took Kate to the Natural History Museum last weekend to see all of the animals. Here she is with a polar bear. (Sorry I look a little possesed.)
Here she is getting eaten by a Javalina. Sorry it is a bit out of focus, we were trying to hurry so we didn't get in trouble for laying her in the exhibit.
Paul came home for lunch the other day and Kate ate with him in her Bumbo.
Just hanging out in the tub on Sunday morning. She loves her baths.

Playing in the mirror....

The other day I sat Kate on the bathroom counter to look at herself in the mirror. She loved to see herself and watch me talk to her. Paul decided to try it today. She was loving it. She even tried to laugh a little.

Double tagged....

So I was double tagged yesterday. For anyone who knows me, they know that I never respond to stuff like this. I love to read about everyone else, but I don't really like to write about myself. But today I am going to try. This one is for Melina.

TEN YEARS AGO.... I can't really remember much about ten years ago. All I know is that I was a sophmore in high school and driving an awesome, brown, Pontiac 6000 LE that we got from my great grandpa Bert.

FIVE PLACES THAT I HAVE VISTED....... Hawaii (Maui and Oahu), New York, North Carolina, San Antonio Texas, and Mexico (Ixtapa, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan)

FIVE THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST.......
1. Print the 5 million pictures I have on my computer. Ever since digital came along, I never get pictures printed. They are all just on my compter and it really stresses me out.
2. De-junk my house.
3. Lose the rest of my baby weight.
4. Go grocery shopping
5. Write a Valentine's Day card to Paul.

I ENJOY..... bringing Kate into bed with us in the moring to snuggle, playing tennis, hanging out with my family, movies, shopping, going out to eat, traveling, the ususal.

THREE BAD HABBITS.....
1. Eating. I have a problem where I don't just eat until I am full, I have to stuff myself unti I am sick.
2. Stressing out. I kind of get stressed out and think to much about dumb little things.
3. Procrastinating....

FIVE THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME........
1. I love to watch Matlock.
2. Ovaltine is my favorite drink. (milk chocolate, not the nasty malt kind)
3. I am insanely scared of sharks, yet I love to watch shows about them.
4. I hate public speaking.
5. I can't think of anything else right now.....

FIVE JOBS THAT I HAVE HAD..... I worked at Five Buck Pizza, Subway, I was the assistant manager at Contempo Casuals (now known as Wet Seal), I manged Fotogenix and I was a paralegal at Bingham & Snow. Now I am a stay at home mom. (This job is definatley the best.)

Ok, I finally did it. I am tagging Lindsey, Maren, Amber, Chelsey and Erin. If I tagged you here's what you do. Post the words in all caps and fill in info about yourself. Then, name the 5 people you are tagging & go and tag 5 friends on their blogs.

Tagged...(Thanks a lot Tam)

What is my Hubbies Name? Paul Dustin Broadbent

How long have you been married? It will be three years in May.

How long did you date? We got engaged after dating for two months and then we got married four months later. (Sounds a little backwards, huh?)

How old is he? 27

Who eats more? That is a tough one. I would like to say him, but I bet we are about equal.

Who is Taller? Paul

Who sings better? It depends if you are taking about singing in a frog voice, then Paul definatley has me beat. I would probably say regular singing would be me.

Who is smarter? I don't really have an answer for that. We are smart in different ways. Paul is definately more book smart.

Who's Temper is worse? Neither of us really have a temper. Paul tries to pretend he is yelling at me and it just doesn't really work, we just start laughing. Realistically, I would proabably have to say me.

Who does the laundry? I do most of the time. I'm sure he would more often, but he doesn't dare because I don't dry half of my clothes so he never knows what he can put in the dryer. He does help put the clothes away though.

Who does the dishes? We go through phases. I am on a kick right now, but then Paul does them a lot too.

Who sleeps on the right side of bed? Me.

Who pays the Bills? I do.

Who mows the lawn? I wish we had a lawn to mow. If we did, I'm sure Paul would do it most of the time, but I would help too. I just don't like to do the edges.

Who cooks dinner? I do most of the time. Although, Paul has whipped up Chicken Chalupas a few time for me when I have gone to work, and he has stayed home with Kate. It is now his specialty. (They are really good too!)

Who drives when your together? Paul. Every once in a while I will get in the drivers seat and he will be shocked.

Who is the most stubborn? I would say we are equal on that one, although I don't think either of us are very stubborn.

Who's parents do you see more of? It is hard living so far away from them. They both come down to visit quite often, but I would probably have to say mine.

Who proposed? Paul

Who has more friends? That would definatley be Paul. He can make friends with anyone.

I am tagging Tara, Camille, Kjerstin, Kim and Mindy.

Saying bye to Subie....

So we sold our Subaru on Saturday and I am very sad. It was our first car that we bought together right before we got married. We loved it, but once Kate came along, we realized it wasn't the best family car. Her stroller took up the whole trunk and the back seat is so small it was tricky to get her car seat in and out. We had to get a couple of pictures of Kate with her first car before we sold it, but we got a little carried away.

The weather was so nice that we took her on a walk around Paul's campus at Dixie. She loved sitting up in her stroller for the first time so she could look around at everything.
Kate has been sleeping in her crib since she was three weeks old but she never will take a nap in it. I finally got her to take her nap in it the other day. I was quite excited.

Camo Kate

I just though Kate looked cute today in her camo skirt from my friend Kim. Thanks Kim!Just showing off her chunky legs.
She kind of looks like she is hiding something in her cheeks. (She gets the cheeks from her dad.)

Getting big......

I swear Kate has doubled in size in the last couple of weeks. She has grown out of half of her clothes over night. She was 11 lbs 7 oz. at her last Dr. appointment and that was a couple of weeks ago. She is 12 weeks old today.

Deep in thought.....

Attempting pull-ups on Paul's pull-up bar.

She likes to play on her tummy mat. (I swear she likes it, even though she looks a little depressed right here.)

My mom is in town, so we went down to Mesquite with her yesterday to hang out with Tammy. She was so happy to get to play with Kate and cousin Hazel.

Look at those chunky cheeks....

Kate's new trick......

So this was totally unexpected. Kate has not shown any signs of trying to roll but when we were playing tonight she just randomly did this! Now everytime we put her on her tummy, she immediately rolls over. We are so excited. She is growing up so fast. She is sleeping 10 hours at night (I don't know how we got so lucky) and she is so much fun. I don't know how we lived without her!
